Spikes !!

Quite literally the best tyres you can buy for 1/5 scale. A small selection of copycat tyres are available but none of them meet the quality or price of the original Akills.

Finally a tire that holds up

I have been in this hobby for 15 years and have tried almost every tire on the market. The Taylor tires have gone downhill recently, the rubber is just too soft. These Akill spikes are what a spike tire should be. Rigid, strong sidewalls, and they do not balloon. Good job on the compound.

Just took the 180x85s out for a speed run and officially clocked 100 MPH on grass. The stability is unreal—absolutely zero ballooning even at triple-digit speeds.

Forget those weak Taylor tires; their soft rubber would have folded over or blown apart under this kind of power. Akill is the only tire built for this. Hands down the best super spike in the world. The King is back!

I've been running Akill tires for over 2 years. When they went out of production for a while, I had no choice but to try the Taylor copies (Mike's version). What a huge disappointment. Taylor explicitly copied the design, but their rubber is way too soft and the spikes just fold over.

Thank god Akill is back! I immediately bought multiple sets, and they are even better than I remembered. The spikes are much stronger/harder than Taylor's, but the real game-changer is the new insert formula. These are shockingly light—literally a fraction of the weight of the heavy Taylor tires—and they have absolutely ZERO ballooning. The OG is still the best.
